Auchentoshan single malt started its journey since 1823 and is one of the last active distilleries in the lowland. Each and every drops of the spirit are triple distilled which results into soft flavor and body.

Auchentoshan three wood has effect of three different wood on the final spirits.The spirit stay 10 years into american oak(Bourbon) barrel, 1 year into oloroso sherry cask and 1 last year into pedro ximenez sherry cask. From bourbon cask whisky adopt the flavor of vanilla, sweetness of butterscotch, orange blossom and from sherry cask it gets more flavor like wild berries as blackcurrant, prunes, dark plum and raisins.

#pedroximenezsherry : made with the pedro ximenez grape and tend to prepare sweet,dark and dessert wine. When cask of above sherry has been retired than they sent to scotland and ireland to mature whisky.

#olorososherrycask : Oloroso is the wine made from palomino grape. Oloroso is usually nutty and dark. Once the cask which used to mature oloroso sherry are retired than they have sent to whisky producer in scotland and ireland. It also used to age some brandy too.

#tripledistilled : Three words describe triple distilled are more time consuming, expensive and very unique. As most of the distillery distilled their spirit two times only auchentoshan does that three times. which makes the spirit smooth and distill away all the impurities from the spirit and make it more flavorful.
