a distillery on the south coast of islay using malted barley from Port Ellen. Opened in 1815 and reopened in 1997. Ardbeg 10 a intense smoky character with dark chocolate, baked pineapple, cinnamon tossed toffee, liquorice root with long and smoky finish.

#nonchillfiltered : a method to remove chemical compound from the whisky. but I believe unfiltered whisky has more flavor and texture.

#peat : a highly organic material composed of partially decayed vegetables which is cut and dried to use as fuel and fertilizer.
