Bruichladdich Single malt

Updated: May 13, 2020

Bruichladdich Distillery

Bruichladdich distillery sits opposite the western shore of Loch Indaal on Islay, an island off the west coast of Scotland. The distillery is built in 1881 by Harvey Brothers. The distillery produces three particular single malts: Bruichladdich (unpeated), Port Charlotte (intensely peated) and Octomore (super vigorously peated), alongside The Botanist gin.

Bruichladdich is an unpeated whisky – uncommon among different distilleries on the Island, with just Bunnahabhain doing similarly. Its peated whiskies (Port Charlotte and Octomore) are kept as discrete brands so as not to befuddle the shopper. The distillery is known for being honored with the absolute best soul in Scotland, helped by the tall, slender necked stills which produce an exquisite, botanical and fruity house style. The distillery is novel on the island with its tremendous scope of barrel completed whiskies, a considerable lot of which are non-conventional for whisky maturing, for example, containers which used to hold Cognac, Jurançon and Pinot Gris.

About Bruichladdich Classic Laddie

Head Distiller Adam Hannett has exclusively chosen barrels to feature the work of art, botanical and exquisite Bruichladdich house style. Produced using 100% Scottish grain, stream refined, at that point developed for as long as it's can remember by the shores of Loch Indaal in premium American oak. The Classic Riddle do not use any artificial coloring and chill-filtration which means each vatting is subtly different.

Tasting Notes

From nose to complete this whisky is basically excellent. The grain truly radiates through in the nose, with nutty vanilla, nectar and white blossoms with traces of apricot, citrus, and ocean breeze sneaking from the glass. Splendid fruity kinds of apple and citrus are trailed by sweet, round oat malts and demerara sugar. The completion is one that hinders time with black out recollections of pit fires on the sea shore at a low tide.
